We’ve gone back in time and used our original malt bill, including rye, from our first production beer, Archie’s Red Ale. This time, we’re playing around with our hop combinations in our ongoing pursuit of brewing the perfect Red IPA.
Expect the palate to finish dry with a slight sweetness to hold up bitterness. There’s hint of spiciness from the rye and the crystal malt which adds another level of richness without being overly cloying. Citrus notes drive the bitterness also adding some pith notes. The aroma gives a perceived sweetness, with underlying notes of citrus, pine and resin.
