We’ve collaborated with our mates – the renowned Adelaide Hills chocolatiers at Red Cacao – to create a unique, delicious and super smooth new Limited Release beer. Mismatch Chocolate Stout is a rich and full-bodied beer that blends the intense flavours of Red Cacao’s single-origin chocolate with the smooth, velvety texture of a stout.

Red Cacao sources their cacao beans from a single farm in Venezuela, where the cacao trees grow in rich, fertile soil and are tended by skilled farmers who take great care in harvesting the beans. The beans are then carefully roasted and ground by Red Cacao’s chocolatiers, who use traditional techniques to extract the maximum flavours and aroma from the cacao. The resulting chocolate has a deep, complex flavour profile that includes notes of roasted nuts, caramel, and dark fruit.

We incorporated the cacao nibs into the brewing process by steeping them in the beer during fermentation. This process allowed the intense flavours of the cacao to really infuse into the beer. The final result is rich, smooth, and full-bodied, with a complex flavour profile that includes notes of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and a hint of bitterness. Mismatch Chocolate Stout has a deep, dark colour that is reminiscent of the chocolate used to create it and a creamy, velvety texture that is perfect for sipping on a cool winter evening.
